Cruising in Company

We have now developed a new cruise booking system designed to make cruises easier and quicker to participate in. The new system will just require you to give your email address and tick the cruises you wish to go on. This is made possible by asking you to check that the details we hold for you are correct before the bookings are made.

New Cruise Booking System Information

As ever, cruising in company is at the heart of what we do, and we are planning an exciting series of cruises for 2026.   The Poole Yacht Club Cruising Section cruises go live and open for bookings on the 26th January 2026. See HERE

Cruising on trips arranged by PYCCS, is organised and led by the participating skippers.  We make the bookings and advise the marina of boats that have booked and circulate boat and contact details to those that have asked to go.  As the trip approaches we send out some general briefing information to help with passage planning.  It is then up to the skippers to sort out details and their own passage plan.  A few days before the cruise we can arrange a meeting for participating skippers to discuss arrangements for the cruise. We also suggest skippers meet up on the night before the cruise at the Yacht Club  – to agree the leaving time, decide if the weather is suitable, and trip contact channel for the cruise etc.

After you have made your booking, members of the PYC Cruising Section are always available to support and answer any questions that skippers may have – especially from those less experienced or more apprehensive skippers.  As well as the information briefing notes this may be about passage planning or with additional navigational or pilotage tips.
