Blue Pool Walk near Wareham

Meet at the “Blue Pool” Wareham BH20 5AR  meet at 10.00 hrs. The Blue Pool opens at 10.00. £7.50 entrance fee. The cafe also opens at 10.00 for breakfast etc.

The Walk is being led by Tony and Debbie Raven.

Set in 25 acres of woodland between Wareham and Corfe Castle, the Blue Pool derives its name from the striking turquoise colour the water this disused clay pit can appear. The 30-foot deep pool was hand-dug in the 1800s and sits within 150 acres of land as part of the Furzebrook Estate and is a designated Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI).

Leave at 12.15 hrs to be at  the Wareham Golf Club BH20 4DH for Sunday lunch at 12.45 hrs. for a Sunday roast.
