SUMMARY:Longham Rivers/Woods and Lakes Walk in Company 2026
DESCRIPTION:Our Cruising section walk on Sunday 15th November is 10.15 for a 10.30 start\, and will start and finish from the car park behind the Bridge House Hotel at Longham BH22 9AN. \nRoy and Wendy (The Roshanaks) are leading a 4 mile walk – River/Woods/Lakes. \nLunch is booked at the Bridge House at 13.00 – they do an excellent lunchtime carvery. We do need numbers by Wednesday 11th as they get very busy. The walk is all footpaths and only 100 yards on a pavement. DESCRIPTION:Our Annual Cruising and Classic Boat Section’s Laying Up Supper is always a great way to finish the cruising and yachting year. \nWe have chosen a wonderful menu for you all to enjoy\, and we will be showing a Cruising Season video of our 2027 cruises during the meal. \nWe will also be having the Cruising Section Awards Presentation for the various awards achieved by our members\, including the 2027 Most Cruised Award and the 2027 Achievement Award. There will also be one or two fun awards to bring a smile to our faces. \nThis promises to be a wonderful\, fun evening and it would be really great if you could all put this date in your diaries\, and have a full attendance. SUMMARY:Chris Harris's Clipper Race Talk 2026
DESCRIPTION:Chris took part in the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race in the 2015-16 edition even though he had very little previous experience of sailing. He went on to become the global Communications Manager for the Clipper Race and\, as Crew Recruitment Director\, is now responsible for recruiting new crew to have their own adventure of a lifetime. \nOne of the biggest challenges of the natural world and an endurance test like no other\, the Clipper Round the World Yacht Race is a record-breaking 40\,000 nautical mile race around the world on a 70-foot ocean racing yacht with the route divided into eight legs and between 13 and 16 individual races including six ocean crossings. \nThis will be a fascinating and absorbing talk with much to learn for us all. \nFood will be available on the night\, so arrive early if you wish to eat beforehand\nand make an evening of it.\nTo book a place on this fascinating talk please click the button below \n \nOnce your Booking Form has been sent you will immediately receive a confirmation/payment email from our booking system with the PYCCS bank account details into which you should pay your fees for this talk.
