DESCRIPTION:  \nMeet at the “Blue Pool” Wareham BH20 5AR  meet at 10.00 hrs. The Blue Pool opens at 10.00. £7.50 entrance fee. The cafe also opens at 10.00 for breakfast etc. \nThe Walk is being led by Tony and Debbie Raven. \nSet in 25 acres of woodland between Wareham and Corfe Castle\, the Blue Pool derives its name from the striking turquoise colour the water this disused clay pit can appear. DESCRIPTION:Details\n\nThe RYA VHF / SRC Radio course is designed to give you the knowledge to use a marine VHF / SRC radio. It is followed by an exam which\, as long as you pass\, will give you a licence to operate a marine VHF radio. The licence is a legal requirement. \nThis course is for 16 years and over. \nThroughout the day you will get lots of practice using the radio talking to other people\, and will learn the following:\nHow to talk on the radio\nWhat the correct words to use are\nTo operate the functions and message settings\nTo use the radio to get help in emergencies\nWhat other equipment makes up the radio network and how it operates. \nThe course will run from 0900 – 1830. \n\n\n\nInstructions\n\nThe course can be intense\, so we ask all students to complete the pre course learning\, which is to be done before your course starts. Links to this are emailed to you after booking. \nTo complete the course and get your license you must pay an additional RYA Admin Fee of £70 (paid directly to the RYA). SUMMARY:Passage Planning Talk
DESCRIPTION:Rob Gibson\, is a sailing trainer for practical sailing courses and shore based theory courses\, and a wide range of sailing experiences\, all of which can be tailored to an individuals  requirements. Rob is also a prolific writer of sailing books for the RYA. \nHis talk on Passage Planning in Feburary 2024 was so well attended that we have decided to run it again.
