SUMMARY:Swanage Day Trip 2026
DESCRIPTION:This cruise is ldeal for people who want to experience getting out of Poole Harbour and have a sail in company past the magnificent Old Harry Rocks and Ballard Down to Swanage where we will be able to stop for a few hours for lunch before returning to the Poole Yacht Club. \nThis cruise will be using the Swange Sailing Club moorings but due to important structual work being carried out on the club house we have not been able to book lunch there this time. We have explored a number of alternative options\, but despite our best efforts we have not been able to secure a replacement venue for lunch. DESCRIPTION:East Cowes marina is just a short distance away from the busy centre of Cowes\, where there are a wonderful array of shops\, eateries and sights over the Medina River. It’s also a chance to take a run up the river in your dinghy to see the sights. The marina is also within striking distance of Osbourne House where Queen Victoria used to spend her time when on the Isle of Wight. \n  \n  \nFriday 27th – Sat 28th (2 nights). DESCRIPTION:Tucked away just inside the south west corner of Portsmouth Harbour\, Haslar Marina is perfectly located for a cruise visit\,  with dining\, drinking\, staying over\, and there is the historic dockyards with the Warrior\, Mary Rose and Victory in Portsmouth. SUMMARY:Duver Marina\, Bembridge RIR
DESCRIPTION:Duver Marina is on the starboard side once you’ve entered Bembridge Harbour. There are full facilities and there are lovely walks along the beach or round to Bembridge itself. There are eateries nearby or in Bembridge and a barbeque area near the Pontoon. \nThis is one of the good spots to watch the Round the Island Race\, and we have chosen it because Yarmouth this year is hosting the Old Gaffers Weekend and will not take rally bookings for this weekend. \n  \nFri 14th – Mon 17th June\, (3 Nights) \nAlternative Arrangements: \nWe can adjust the booking for those skippers that may not be able to do the whole trip. SUMMARY:Littlehampton Harbour
DESCRIPTION:Littlehampton Harbour is a very welcoming venue\, and a first for us. A lot of Yacht Clubs visit this venue and we are assured that there is a great selection of pubs and restaurants within easy walking distance\, 20 miles of navigable River Arun to explore in your tender\, an amusement park and two excellent sandy bathing beaches. \nThe Arun Yacht Club opposite are a welcoming bunch and are keen to host visiting clubs for dinner\, so we should eat well in Littlehampton. \nThis will be a Cruise for the more experienced sailors amoung us. We will be sailing to Littlehampton Harbour with an overnight stop at Haslar Marina\, at the entrance to Portsmouth Harbour for Thursday 24th August (1 night)\, we will then move on to Littlehampton on Friday 25th – Sunday 27th August 2023 (3 nights)\, leaving for Haslar on the Monday 28th August\, where there is another overnight stop booked for the return leg (1 night). Returning to Poole on the Tuesday 29th August \n \n \nLittlehampton Harbour and Quay \n  \n  \n  \n  \nThe cruise will attract a 20% discount on Littlehampton berthing fees if we can get the numbers to a good level\, and the water and electricity is included. \n   Haslar Marina \nAlternative Arrangements: \nWe can adjust the booking for those skippers that may not be able to do the whole trip.
