SUMMARY:RYA VHF / SRC Marine Radio Course
DESCRIPTION:Details\n\nThe RYA VHF / SRC Radio course is designed to give you the knowledge to use a marine VHF / SRC radio. It is followed by an exam which\, as long as you pass\, will give you a licence to operate a marine VHF radio. The licence is a legal requirement. \nThis course is for 16 years and over. \nThroughout the day you will get lots of practice using the radio talking to other people\, and will learn the following:\nHow to talk on the radio\nWhat the correct words to use are\nTo operate the functions and message settings\nTo use the radio to get help in emergencies\nWhat other equipment makes up the radio network and how it operates. \nThe course will run from 0900 – 1830. \n\n\n\nInstructions\n\nThe course can be intense\, so we ask all students to complete the pre course learning\, which is to be done before your course starts. Links to this are emailed to you after booking. \nTo complete the course and get your license you must pay an additional RYA Admin Fee of £70 (paid directly to the RYA). More information on how to pay for this is sent after booking. \n\n8 available \n\nThis is the course fee.
